Brooklyn Public Pools: Outdoor

City-run outdoor pools are open to the public during summer hours. Most pools allow lap swimming on one end, but during peak crowded times, lifeguards may not restrict others from using the lap-swimming area.

In addition to open swimming, the city’s Lap-Swimming Program offers dedicated hours only for lap swimming from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. or dusk on weekdays only. For 2014, the lap swimming program will begin July 8. Click here to register in advance (the registration link is typically posted in May).
