2025 Summer Party & Gear Swap
Our ever popular Members Summer Party returns on Sunday, July 13th at club favorite Greenwood Park. Similar to last year, we’ll also host a Gear Swap at this event!
Come ready for an afternoon of fun, friends and sunny vibes with your Brooklyn Tri Club family. You’ll get to meet and hangout with other club members, sponsors, coaches and board members; enjoy complimentary bites and drinks from our select menu; and swap gear and nutrition with other club members. Come anyway even if you have nothing to swap — the swap part is optional!
What to bring: Yourself, good vibes, any gently used gear or unopened nutrition to swap (optional), and shopping bags for all the gear you will score! Read more about what you can bring to swap here.
Please note: The summer party is open to members only, so if you have a friend considering joining BTC, get them to sign up and join prior to the party so they can RSVP and attend as well.
Be sure to RSVP by July 7th to help us ensure there’s enough food and drink!

2025 OWS Clinic 1
Come out to Coney Island Beach for our Open Water Swimming clinic! The clinic will be led by Coach John Stewart, who you may know from our Thursday brick workouts. Coach John, owner of Race Day Coaching, is also an accomplished open water swimmer who has swum across the English Channel! During the clinic you will learn the fundamentals of open water swimming in a group setting. Coach John will work with you on sighting, swimming in a straight line, and effectively maneuvering through current and chop. OWS requires a different approach than pool swimming, so being comfortable in open water is crucial to race success.
Here are the clinic details:
When: Sunday June 1, 1-2:30pm
Where: the shelter on the boardwalk just west of the NY Aquarium (see image – the shelter is marked with a white circle pin)
Cost: $30
Meet promptly at 1pm at the shelter on the boardwalk just west of the NY Aquarium (white circle pin in image). Look for Coach John Stewart and a number of BTCers in wetsuits. There’s a restroom right there if you need to change. Take the F or Q to West 8th St and walk down to West 10th for boardwalk entry. You can also exit at Stillwell and walk down from Coney Island. If you’re driving, leave a few extra minutes for parking and a little longer walk.
Bring a swim cap, goggles and a wetsuit.
A BTC member has volunteered to watch bags for participants. As always, we recommend leaving your valuables at home and swimming with a dry-bag swim buoy.
Each session will be capped at 12 participants. These clinics are appropriate for all experience levels.
Further details will follow by e mail after you register.
Come swim in open water in a supportive environment and make new friends!
