Off-Season Training Clinic
With race season in the rearview mirror for most BTC athletes and the cooler weather upon us, many of you may be thinking: “How should I spend my time with no races on my calendar?,” “How do I get my training in when the days get colder and shorter?,”or “Off-season? What the heck is an off-season? I train 110% 365 days a year!” If you’ve had any of these thoughts, then the BTC Off-Season Training Clinic is for you (especially you, last person)!
Join us on Tuesday, November 7th at 7 pm at Wild East Brewing for an esteemed panel of celebrity coaches Ben Kessel, Peter Helling, and John Hirsch, who will take you through the basics of how to structure your off-season to help you get faster for next year, share some off-season training tips, and answer any questions you might have. This program will be appropriate for athletes of all experience levels, but in particular for beginning and intermediate athletes who may feel like they have not mastered how to spend their off-season or anyone looking to take their training to the next level.
We plan to cover topics such as:
Off-season training concepts and developing an off-season plan
Indoor bike trainers and software
Strength training
Skills development
Winter gear (Q: “Should I run in running shorts in freezing weather?” A: Yes!)
We hope to see you there!
If you have any questions that you’d like us to address, please feel free to submit then in advance here. We will do our best to address them at the clinic.
