Join us for our latest sponsor clinic of the 2022 season — our Injury Prevention Clinic. This clinic will be presented by Dr. Marc Bochner, a BTC Sponsor, 4x Ironman finisher and owner of Bochner Chiropractic and Sports Injury Care. At this clinic, Dr. Bochner will teach you how to train and race with a lower chance of injury. This clinic is open to BTC members of all ability levels.
Here is what you can look forward to:
- Dr. Bochner will teach key exercises and provide guidance on proper recovery and self-monitoring for injury prevention.
- Dr. Bochner will provide an overview of the Prepare to Compete screening system, developed by Dr. Bochner in 2010 based on his experience diagnosing and treating athletes, especially runners and triathletes, since 1991. Prepare to Compete is an organized self-screening system to help athletes learn to self-monitor for the earliest signs of injury through testing key biomechanical and movement control patterns known to cause injury under the stress of training and racing.
- This is an ACTIVE workshop, so be sure to wear workout clothes and be prepared to move around! Dr. Bochner will demonstrate various screening tests and evaluations which will place you in one of three “Activity Readiness Zones”, through the use of traininghistory.com, the on-line health and activity monitoring system.
- He’ll also focus on the physiological changes that occur throughout a training season as well as from the beginner to veteran levels over years of competing and the key areas to focus on with these changes.
We look forward to seeing you!
